I chose this hotel because of its swimming pool, a key feature for me. First, I discovered that you must pay each time you enter the spa. A day pass isn't an option. Second, the pool is small and limited to four people!!! There was no way to check how many people were present, so planning a swim was impossible. I didn't get to use the pool at all. It was a HUGE disappointment.

the japanese garden was well maintained and enjoyable.
The front desk was often understaffed. It was hard to get help. there was often a line, or staff were not available at the desk early in the day. i found this inconvenient and time-consuming .

The breakfast buffet at satsuki restaurant was amazing, with lots of options!!! the garden on the grounds is fine, especially the waterfall area. the service was perfect. They let me check in early after a 13-hour flight.
the staff at the reception wanted to keep my credit card for other services i might incur. i already paid for my stay and my company paid ahead of time. this was very disappointing and tiring.

i found the hotel rooms and lobby luxurious. Restaurants gave an impression of high quality and status. IT was one of the best hotels i have visited. the garden was a fantastic experience and i recommend it to all guests.
i was disappointed that the workout room lacked some equipment. A set of dumbbells would have been a good addition!
